Current Power Usage – As December 2017
Our fight against the high power usage: This is our first winter in this house, and the power usage is really high. Mostly because of the electric underfloor heating. Even thought the winter has been pretty warm in southern part of the Finland, I was still surprised about the cost of the heating. We keep room temperatures low, lights has been replaced with LED versions, home electronics has Eco settings turned on (whenever it’s possible. Laptops, PS4, TV etc.), no long hot showers, and so on…
Next week the Mitsubishi MSZ-LN25 heat pump gets finally installed. Looking really forward for what it can do (and of course the solar panels, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon).
Here is our current power usage:
Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-LN25 – Heat Pump
Here are some photos of the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-LN25 Heat Pump indoor unit. Comes in 4 different colors: black, red, white, and pearl white. Our version is going to be the pearl white. (One in the middle on the first photo). Not only it looks good, it has A++ energy efficiency. That’s always a good thing!
On the previous blog post I said “Air Conditioner”, but it’s pretty misleading term. But that’s what the official site says. In Finland these are called heat pumps, as people buy these mostly for heating.
I’m going to write a short review of the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-LN25 unit once it’s installed (Need to test it for a week to get a proper comparison). 15 days forecast predicts about the same weather as it’s been for past few weeks. So it should be pretty easy to compare. Can’t wait!
We are not affiliated with the Mitsubishi company in anyway. 100% from the price and installation goes from our money.
